Doom: Flatten Horizon Walkthrough
If you've ever played DOOM before, you'll be at home with this game. Using a top-down perspective, you'll be pitted against the original mix of zombies, demons, and possessed-humans the original DOOM gave us.
You'll have to keep track of your ammo, health, and armor to survive - you're going to need the most of every single one. So, when you're playing, try to pick up as much as you can, even if that means backtracking a little through levels. Be sure to explore as much as possible too; some of the levels in Flat Horizon can be quite broad and far-reaching. If you don't explore as much as you can, you may miss out on one of the many weapons you could be wielding.
If you do happen to run out of ammo though, you'll have to resort to using a melee weapon in this zombie game, and that doesn't bode well for you. It has the worst range in the game, but it can kill almost anything in a few hits - but you'll be tanking damage while using it, so only use it when you're super low on ammo.
As far as the other guns go, stick to the pistol and shotgun when dealing with minor enemies like zombies and lesser demons - bring out the big guns when necessary.
This zombie game brings a fresh perspective to the original DOOM - you'll be able to recognize all of the same sound effects that have been taken from the original, so as far this game goes, it's not a bad revision of the original at all.
