What would you do if you woke up one fine morning to find living corpses in your yard? Calling the Ghostbusters wouldn't help; they deal with ghosts, not zombies. No, you would have to take care of the problem yourself! Zombies In Your Backyard is a zombie game that places you in just such a scenario. This shooting game features simple sprite graphics, jazzy background music, simple controls, and five weapons to splatter those undead!

The objective of Zombies In Your Backyard is to survive until the end of each day. Waves of zombies will appear, and you must kill them to advance, a simple premise. This zombie game starts out easy, but the difficulty increases as you progress. Survive ten days to beat the entire game. There is no saving in this zombie game, so you will have to beat it in one sitting. An hour should be more than enough time to complete the game.

Zombies In Your Backyard uses a combination of mouse and keyboard controls. If you have played similar shooting games, there should not be much of a learning curve to this game. The arrow keys (or WASD keys) are used to move. You can double jump by tapping the up arrow key (or W) in midair. The number keys are used to switch weapons and the Q and E keys cycle through weapons. The mouse is used to aim and to shoot. You automatically reload at the end of each magazine, but you can press the R key to reload manually. It is always a good idea to reload during lulls in the action.

After each day, you are given a chance to use money earned by killing zombies to purchase items in the shop. I advise you to skip buying the Uzi, and to save enough money to buy the shotgun. The shot gun packs a major wallop at close range, and is my personal favorite weapon in this zombie game. Be sure to keep your ammo supply stocked up as well as your health!
